FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
I am here after 35 years in the business of education, across three continents. My CV is only a list of events in my life. My true story is my journey from a small town in Moshi, Tanzania to another small city in Roanoke, Virginia that shaped my life in a variety of ways. I never wanted to be a teacher or educator. I wanted to work with wild, exotic animals I grew up around in East Africa. Yet a calling card was already printed for me in the realm of humanity. For those that are not afforded my cognitive, physical, social/emotional and mental abilities, I felt compelled to share my knowledge and creativity with anyone who wanted to learn. However, I found the ones I taught, were teaching me.
So, I have learned from the best - people with, what we term in the United States, special needs. They have taught me patience, tolerance, humility, value of humankind, respect of all, unconditional love and kindness, to listen, to hear, to communicate among different worlds, and to see them.
And now I speak with them and for them. They taught me there are no bounds for humanity.
